Head Coach: Bobby Klinck
2020 Record: 7-5
Offense
After a 7-5 season in the 2020 season, the Sandites are building more and more confidence looking ahead. The Sandites made it to the quarterfinals last season, beating Deer Creek in the first round before suffering a defeat to Stillwater. The 2020 season was most of the coaching staff’s first season with the team, and they look for more success in the near future. “We are excited to begin our second season. We have a lot of guys returning in key spots and will look to some of our younger talented players to step up from us,” head coach Bobby Klinck said. The Sandites return six players on the offensive side of the ball from last year’s team. Ty Pennington (6-3, 220, Sr.) comes into the 2021 season as quarterback, already having experience on the field. Pennington has high expectations from Klinck, but Klinck believes his size, arm, and speed all make a candidate to be one of the top quarterbacks in the state. Blake Jones (5-9, 185, Sr.) and Ryan Shoemaker (6-2, 200, Sr.) look to add to the run game, a place Klinck thinks the Sandites can improve. Keaton Campbell (6-2, 185, Sr.) and Jacob Blevins (6-0, 175, Jr.) look to be big targets for Pennington this season
