2021 Sand Springs Football Schedule and Results
Ty Pennington returns under center for the Sand Spring’s Sandites this season. Pennington and his team are more than prepared, and have high expectations to bring a gold ball to Sand Springs.
“My expectations are to bring a state title to Sand Springs and to be a team our community can be proud of,” Pennington said. “Sandite fans should expect a great season.”
Pennington has played football since the first grade, and just a year ago threw for over 2,200 yards and rushed for over 700 as well. Expect Pennington and the Sandites to show drastic improvement due to their hard work this spring.
“I have been focusing on getting bigger and stronger along with working on my speed and footwork, and obviously throwing the ball a ton,” Pennington said. “As a team we have been crushing the weight room and conditioning and have competed at many 7-on-7’s and camps.”
Pennington is ecstatic to see how his team’s hard work pays off on the field. The teamwork and family bond that the Sandite football team has acquired is what Pennington believes could lead them far into the season.
“Our brotherhood we have created and the bonds we have made is what sets us apart from others,” Pennington said. “We are so close as a team and it will be a big reason for our success this year.”
Off the field, Pennington enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and playing volleyball and basketball. When it’s time for Pennington to hang up the cleats for the last time, he wants to have some sort of career in his favorite subject, math.
