Coach: Eric Savage
20-21 Record: 7-11
With only one returning starter, head coach Eric Savage is looking for guys to step up and take a larger role with the team. “This year’s team will rely heavily on the lone returning starter from last season,” said coach Savage. Jason Clark (5-8, Sr.) averaged 7.6 points a game last year from his point guard position and brings a ton of energy to the court. Clark will have a few weapons around him including guard Kooper “Koop” Kelly (5-11, Fr.). “Look for freshman guard Kooper Kelly to make a big splash on the varsity scene this season,” said Savage. JD Dickson (6-2, Sr.) is a newcomer and is expected to contribute immediately. Also look for Cale Askew (6-2, Sr.) at forward where he saw significant minutes last season and that should be a big factor in his development this year alongside Dickson. “Cale has been a member of the varsity team for three seasons. He is always ready to step into any role asked to help our team win. He leads on and off the court,” said Savage. Costen Brockman (6-1, Sr.) is a big guard and a matchup problem for many smaller guards in the league. Luke Hooper (6-4, Jr.) will play the post for coach Savage. His play is crucial for their overall success. Look for coach Savage to have his team playing at their peak when it counts the most come February.
