9 Qs With Sand Springs’ Carson Sargent – Presented by Inkwell Sand Springs

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Carson: My goals for this season are just to enjoy it and have fun.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Carson: Soccer has taught me to have discipline with myself and not to lower my expectations.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Carson: My favorite teacher would be my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Nokes. She was my 11th grade pre-calc math teacher. She taught me that the classroom is fun and when you’re struggling not to give up. She continued to push me through the school year when things got difficult.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Carson: My family inspires me. Both my parents were athletes growing up as well as my brother who was a wrestler who continued his career in college. They all push me to be my best and inspire me to be my best.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Carson: Evyn Morrow from our high school team has the biggest impression on me. She is a volleyball player that has come to play soccer to help us with numbers. She tries her hardest no matter what even if she doesn’t know what position she’s playing. She’s a very positive player and encourages all her teammates.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Carson: We are team involved. We have a smaller team than anyone else so it makes us have stronger bonds and help each other push through each game.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Carson: I would like to go somewhere in the Caribbean because there are so many things unique about it and it’s beautiful. I would like to take my friend, Alisa Gramm, and cousin, Lauren Foster.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Carson: I am passionate about my sport because it’s an outlet to relieve stress and it has brought me many opportunities and friendships through the years as well.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Carson: Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today and all of my supporters.
