Any student-athlete that plays multiple sports accepts the responsibility of a tough schedule while keeping up with their grades. Some athletes like Kelsi Hilton at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs makes it look easy.
Hilton participates in five sports and is a member of National Honor Society. She is the definition of a student-athlete.
“What I love most about being a student-athlete at Charles Page is being able to do as many
sports as I can and I also love all of the memories I make with my teammates,” said Hilton.
Coming into the winter sports session, Hilton is wrestling for Charles Page and is ranked
No. 6 at 135-pounds and has been wrestling now for two years.
“What I love most about my teammates is their support and hard work. My main goal for
this season is to have fun and make it state for my senior year,” said Hilton. “The team is
coming together good this year. We’re stronger this year and our numbers have gone up.”
In the classroom, Hilton said she enjoys her psychology and anatomy classes the most and
her favorite teacher is Mr. Price. Hilton’s future is set, and her next destination has been
selected.
“After I graduate, I will be going to school at Southern Nazarene University where I will
play softball and run cross country,” said Hilton.
The wrestler, softball player, powerlifter, track and cross-country runner said she enjoys
reading and attending church in her free time.
“I also enjoy running and working out,” said Hilton.
