Lady Sandite Khloe Glass – Presented by Shelter Alan Copeland

By Nick Hampton
“You want a hundred kids like her on your team because they’re willing to learn and work
hard.”

That’s how first-year Sand Springs girls’ basketball coach Paige Wadley describes junior
Khloe Glass. “One of the first things I noticed when I took over is that when I’m talking,
Khloe is always locked in, listening, taking it all in and as a coach you always want that.”
Khloe was a member of the Lady Sandites team that made it to the state tournament last
year which she considers a highlight of her short career so far at Sand Springs.

“That was so exciting to be a part of that team. It can be an overwhelming experience, but
you just have to focus on going out doing what you know how to do.”
Though she’s playing her first year of varsity ball this year, coach Wadley feels that Khloe
has what it takes to have a breakout year.

“She’s a competitor so she gets frustrated with herself when she messes up and she’ll come
and ask what she needs to do to get better. She’s a smooth three-point shooter and I think
this will be a big year for her as she moves from JV to varsity. I can always count on her to
demonstrate something to the group and I think that speaks to her character and work
ethic.”

Having good character is an important part of who Khloe Glass is,
“Character is a really big thing for me,” said Khloe. “When I realize I’ve offended someone, I
go and apologize. I’m very big about how I come across to people.”
Besides basketball, Khloe is also into powerlifting and in her spare time likes to watch
documentaries, listen to music and spend quality time with her family.
