Tulsa Area Underclassmen to Watch – Presented by Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma

Boys Basketball

Mike Alexander – Bishop Kelley

Just a freshman, Mike has athleticism ready for the varsity level. He has a great motor and can knock down the three. He has a great chance to see varsity minutes this season.

Aiden White – Bixby

Aiden was a solid member of the eighth grade team last year. He played with the varsity this summer and looked good. He is a solid six-foot-one point guard.

Oliver Wallace – Booker T. Washington

A true shooter that will come off the bench and take teams by storm with his shooting ability. He is still growing and if he gets anywhere near 6-2 it would be tough for opposing teams to deal with him off the bench this season.

Gene Mason – Broken Arrow

Gene is a player that made a transfer from Victory Christian this year. Although it’s a new system that he will get accustomed to, he is a high IQ and skilled player and the transition will be easier.

Ryder Hogan – Coweta

Freshman point guard with a ton of offensive skill. Looking to earn varsity minutes and potentially be a big contributor

Noah Green – Glenpool

Noah brings a lot of size and knowledge to the team. He is a strong lefty that can shoot and finish at the rim.

Ryan Goodwin – Jenks

Goodwin could be a spark off of the bench with instant offense.

Tristan Duffield – Summit Christian

Tristan is long and lanky but sneaky athletic. He will have a big impact as a forward this season and future seasons to come.

Pete Robinson – Tulsa Central

PJ is a freshman this year who has a chance to be a really special player. His game is smooth and he is a true hooper. While just a freshman, he sees the game like an older player.

K’Mari Block-Jones – Union

K’Mari is very long and athletic and can be a huge asset for Union as the season progresses.

Girls Basketball

Leighton Inhoffe – Berryhill

Inhoffe is a freshman that will be a force this season and in the rest of her career. She finds her way around the rim and finishes effortlessly. She has an outside shot as well, so it makes it hard for her defender to know what her next move will be.

Kerrington Campbell – Bixby

Kerrington is a freshman and she is already receiving looks from multiple colleges. She is a solid ball handler that can also distribute the ball and score when needed.

Tianna Butler – Booker T. Washington

Great student athlete who is able to block shots and rebound at a high level. She is able to start the break because of her passing ability and skill to shoot from deep.

Janaya McCrary – Broken Arrow

Janaya played in 26 of 27 games last season as a freshman. Her vision and ability to get the ball to the right player is impeccable. She is expected to have a breakout season for the Lady Tigers.

Nyah Addison, Gracie Sanders, & Ebony Bell – Coweta

These three have the potential to make big contributions to the Coweta girls basketball team this season.

Aubrey Odom – Jenks

Aubrey is a freshman that plays above her grade. She is always going to be one of the hardest workers in the gym and she is very aggressive and never backs down from a challenge.

Jayla Albert – Lincoln Christian

Jayla played significant minutes and even moved into a starting position last year for a Lincoln Christian team that finished as the 4A runner-ups. She has committed a great deal of time expanding her game this off season and she looks to make an even bigger impact this season.

Ava Sego – Memorial

Ava is a six-foot post player that plays a physical style of basketball. She is becoming an elite rebounder and a three-point threat.

Alyssa Nail – Mounds

Alyssa is a great kid and teammate and works hard to continually improve her game. Look for her to have a big season for Mounds.

Nicya Moore – Riverfield Country Day School

Moore is a solid athlete that loves the game of basketball and it shows when she is on the court. She will work to be a key player this season.

Nevaeh Garrison – Sand Springs

Nevaeh is an athlete who can read the ball well off the rim and clean up the boards. She runs the floor well and is very physical.

Kianna Littlebear – Sapulpa

Kianna had a great season last year as a freshman. She came back from an injury right before the state tournament but was not at full strength. Littlebear is healthy now and looks to make an impact for Sapulpa this season.
