OFFENSE
Head coach Bobby Klink leaves the staff at Owasso High School to take over the Sandite football program at Charles Page. Coach Klink is in the process of building a program that mirrors his intensity and passion for the game. With eight returning starters to the offensive side of the ball, the Sandites are looking like a team that returns experience to the lineup. Ty Pennington (6-2, 180, Jr.) threw for 1,530 yards with 14 touchdowns. Pennington also added 80 yards rushing. Keaton Campbell (6-1, 185, Jr.) is back as the go-to wide receiver in the offense. Campbell accounted for 688 yards receiving with two scores. Another wide out to watch is Jamon Sisco (5-6, 150, Sr.). Sisco was productive last year with over 200 yards of offense and four scores. Blake Jones (5-10, 180, Jr.) had 448 yards rushing in 2019 and figures to be one of the offensive threats in the spread attack. The offensive line features Ryan Johnson (6-1, 280, Sr.) and Matt Shelton (6-2, 250, Jr.). Both guys bring experience to the football field.
DEFENSE
Brooks Dudley (5-8, 220, Jr.) is a fun linebacker to watch. Dudley is all over the field and plays side-to-side. Dudley grabbed 81 tackles as a sophomore. Lane Webster (6-0, 235, Sr.) gets the nod on the defensive line and will provide some pressure up the middle. Webster had 3.5 sacks with 57 tackles in 2019. Caden Harris (6-1, 170, Sr.) is the top returning starter in the defensive secondary. Harris had 56 tackles a year ago. Sango Whitehorn (5-8, 215, Sr.) joins Webster up front. Whitehorn accounted for 43 tackles a year ago. Drake Fain (5-10, 215, So.) forced one fumble and grabbed 41 tackles from his linebacker spot while Bryson Chase (6-2, 170, Sr.) had a stellar year with seven pass breakups and two interceptions. He also recorded 32 tackles. The Sandites will run a 4-2-5 defense. The coaching staff consists of Jake Bray, Stephen Hogan, Steve Craver, Darrack Harger, Mike Edwards, Mike Stephens, Kevin Avey, Jay Fleischman and Devon Johnson.
