2021 Sand Springs Volleyball Schedule
The Charles Page volleyball team is eager to take the court and get the season underway. After posting an 18-14 record the season before, they have some important players returning, bringing success to more than just the court. Coach Derek Jackson likes what he has seen from this team in early practices and scrimmages. Payton Robbins is one player expected to have an outstanding year.
“Payton played some varsity as a freshman and was a six-rotation OH (outside hitter) last year. She will look to continue to give Sand Springs offense her upcoming junior year,” Jackson said. With the successes of Robbins being expected, Averi Tippit also has high expectations which might not be as expected from many people, due to her being an underclassman.
Coach Jackson thinks Tippit can contribute in big ways to the Sandite team in various ways and will surprise a lot of people. Tehya Johnson is another player looking to leave her mark on the season. Johnson does all of the little things well and coach Jackson and his staff see the value in her play day in and day out. Jacelyn Smith and Charley Fahland are a coach’s dream and will likely see plenty of time on the court season. Fahland represents the team in a way that cannot be taught but is always noticed. Look for this squad to make some serious noise as the season moves forward.
