Costen Brockman is a guard for head coach Eric Savage on the boy’s varsity basketball team. We caught up with the senior to get his more memorable moments playing for the Sandites.
VYPE: What is the first thing you’re going to do after graduation?
Brockman: First thing I will do after graduating is take my senior trip with the friends I have known my entire life.
VYPE: Who has been your favorite teacher at Charles Page High School?
Brockman: My favorite teacher throughout all of school has to be Faith Liston, my junior year composition teacher. She introduced me to the world of writing and is the reason why I consider it my favorite subject.
VYPE: What is the funniest thing you have seen or heard on the court?
Brockman: Not necessarily during a game but junior year I was able to make highlights for two of my teammates which were pretty funny, you can check those out on my Twitter @ok_stud_hoopz.
VYPE: What’s your most memorable moment playing for the Sandites?
Brockman: Definitely have to be my sophomore year basketball trip to Enid. Lots of memories made there with the upperclassman that since then graduated.
VYPE: Who will show up to your ten-year reunion as the most successful person of your class?
Brockman: Cale Askew. He’s a teammate I’ve known all of my life and he has a beautiful voice; he’ll definitely be a famous singer.
VYPE: In one word, describe what it is like being a student-athlete at your school?
Brockman: Beneficial.
VYPE: Here’s your chance to shoutout, say thank you, or spill the beans on anything you wish. This one is all you.
Brockman: Just want to shoutout T-Stone and Big O. Also want to thank Coach Rahilly and how much he helped my game.
