


Charles Page High School’s Sakauri Wilson is a member of the varsity basketball team under the leadership of head coach Joshua Berry. Coach Berry calls the sophomore, “one of the best defensive guards in the state.”
We wanted to learn more about this sophomore standout and get her take on what it means to have teammates she can count on.
VYPE: Sakauri, how long have you played the game of basketball?
Wilson: I’ve played basketball for 12 years.
VYPE: What does your team and your teammates mean to you?
Wilson: My teammates mean everything to me. They teach me a lot of things on and off the court.
VYPE: What do you love most about being part of the Charles Page High School family as a student-athlete?
Wilson: I love the support from the coaches, parents, and friends, and the community.
VYPE: When you’re not on the court, what do you enjoy doing?
Wilson: I enjoy hanging out with friends on Friday nights.
