Sand Springs senior, Brycen Peterman, is the Unsung Hero for his team and coaches. He is always giving the team and coaches his all on and off the field. He doesn’t expect or ask for any recognition; he does what he does for the love of his teammates and the game.
“Sports mean a lot to me in different ways,” said Bryen. “I love sports and the kind of outlet they provide for me and other kids.”
Brycen plays on the baseball team as an outfielder and third baseman as well as the football team as a strong safety. He is also a member of the high school’s NHS and FCA clubs.
“I balance school and life in different ways; school has come easy for me, so it is pretty simple for me to balance both of them,” said Brycen.
The motivation Brycen has comes from looking toward his future and the kind of life and family he wants to have as well as support.
Brycen grew up in Sand Springs and splits his time between his father and his grandparents. He loves the group of friends he has and could not ask for a better support system.
“My father inspires me the most because he doesn’t have a whole lot, but he has the biggest heart,” Brycen said.
Growing up playing baseball Brycen has a ton of wonderful memories.
“My favorite sports memory would be when I am on the baseball field making more memories with my family,” Brycen said.
When Brycen has free time, he loves to use that time to self-reflect.
“I love to reflect on what I have done that week and how I can improve the next week,” said Brycen.
After high school Brycen plans to attend college and further his academic career and hopefully his baseball career as well.
